" EVERY DROP OF WATER MATTERS "

Do you ever think that why water is very precious for us?
Why our elders always tell us to save water?

On earth the proportion of water is 70 % and proportion of land is 30 %.
After having 70 % proportion of water. Why do we need to save it ?

Because the large proportion of water is not usable for living beings. Only 0.3 % water is usable for us.

DISTRIBUTION OF WATER ON EARTH

1. Ocean water :- 97.2 %
2. Glaciers & other ice :- 2.15 %
3. Groundwater :- 0.61 %
4. Freshwater lakes :- 0.009 %
5. Inland seas :- 0.008 %
6. Soil moisture :- 0.005 %
7. Atmosphere :- 0.001 %
8. Rivers :- 0.001 %

After knowing this fact, we are still wasting the water.
In India, where people of metropolis areas have water in abundance and they are just wasting it, they never try to reuse the water, they never try to save it.
And on other hand the people who are living in rural areas are suffering from severe problem of water. For them every drop of water matters. The farmers for whom the water matters the most. They are not able to get proper supply of water. Even, they are not able to access the basic needs of life.

The reason behind the scarity of water are various like : increasing population, improving lifestyle, expansion of irrigated agriculture, more consumption of water etc.
Increased pollution is also a major factor for it.
Government has launched many programs and invented new technologies to save water like : water harvesting, watershed management etc.

We can solve these water related problems through our small steps :-

1. Invent new water conservation technologies.
2. Try to reuse and recycle the waste water.
3. Improve irrigation and agricultural practices.

If we didn't change our way of consumption of water, we can face a global crisis in future.

Today, there is a high time to understand the importance of every drop of water.

I hope my ideas will be helpful for you.

Thank you
